FANCY A NIGHT IN A WOODEN WIGWAM OR YURT

This is the North East's only dedicated Wigwam Village and is home to twenty wooden wigwams and three yurts.  Available to rent for short breaks and weekly lets, they provide the chance to get back to nature. We are open from Mid February through to New Years Day.  The Wigwam Village is the ideal base for a family cycling, walking, fishing and of course a relaxing holiday.  Due to the enormous popularity during the peak periods of the year early booking is adviseable. 

The Village is situated on a working farm in a quiet location close to the Northumberland Coast with spectacular views of Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle.

The Wigwams

Each of the 20 wooden wigwams can sleep up to 5 on comfortable mattresses.  They are all fully insulated and double glazed with electricity, heating, a small fridge and coffee table. There is adjacent car parking and outdoor grassed area.  Electricity is supplied for lighting to the wigwams.  The fridge, heating and 13 amp sockets are on a £1 coin metered system.

If you would like to have a camp fire for the night of your arrival then please ask for this on booking and we will ensure that the fire is there for you at your wigwam.

 

Canvas Yurts

Staying in a yurt will provide you with an unforgettable holiday.  They are cosy and roomy.  There are comfortable futons for you on a pine wooden floor.  Lit by candlelight you and your friends and family will be warmed by a wood burning stove.  Their clear skylights mean you can contemplate the stars and skies throughout your stay.  The wood burning stove is optional for you to use and logs are supplied at the shop.

 

Group Bookings

The Wigwam Village provides a safe and secure environment for groups of all ages.  In total the 20 wigwams can accomodate up to 100 people.  With its wide range of accomodation and activities and superb on site facilities the Wigwam Village is ideal for group holidays.

We welcome bookings from schools, clubs, residential houses, day centres and special needs groups.  We are fully accessible for wheel chair users and have a good sized car park. WIGWAM PRICES FOR 2010

High Season            Adult £20.00per night

                             Children £10.00per night

April-Oct             Pets £5.00 per night

Low Season             Adult £15.00 per night

                             Children £9.00 per night

                              Pets £5.00 per night

Minimum charge per wigwam is 2 adults sharing. We have 5 wigwams which we allocate to pet owners.

Camp fires are £7.00 per night and should be booked for your first night when booking your wigwam. Thereafter they can be booked in the shop on a daily basis.

YURT PRICES FOR 2010

LARGE YURT  -  £85 per  night for 6 people.  Extra £10 per person per night up to 8 people. Logs and kindling for wood burner  £5.00 per night.

SMALLER YURTS - £65 per night for 4 people.  Extra £10 per night for a 5th person.  Logs and kindling for wood burner  £5.00 per night

Please note we are unable to accomodate dogs in the yurts.

BBQ Hut is £25.00 per night to hire.  Exclusive use for the whole evening.  Lighters and Charcoal provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We do not give any refunds on bookings made at the Wigwam Village.  However , should more than 48 hours notice be given then we will offer an alternative date suitable to you should we have availability.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIMES

Check in is from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Check out is 10 a.m. on date of departure.
